It's not hosted locally but if you rent a server then it can hold a lot Refer back to my first post "If you have a monster PC." If there would be massive issues with it, I doubt players would keep playing there Originally posted by Solomon:Um, the servers from the Pobx community have 100 slots and have been hitting 30+ daily consistently, with peaks of even more (40-50-60). It's hard to find good info about server hosting on most games so I really really, really appreciate it It's just my core group of buddies which is about 8 people so that should be just at the breaking point. Didn't expect all that info but It really helps. Originally posted by Shurenai:More than 8 is not technically officially supported, But there is an ingame option to host for as many as 16 players via ingame hosting. So.Officially as a moderator, I'd recommend 8-16 tops unless you're extremely confident in your server PC, at which point as much as 32 but no higher.

And to not go over 200 unless you've got a monster rig.) (I'd suggest a value of no more than 16 per expected player, personally. So definitely tune this value to your use case. But I wouldn't recommend it, as it would likely have a lot of issues.Īnd to note, The maps are at most 10km squared, and even 16 can start feeling very crowded very quickly.Īnd also to note, every additional player is an additional number of zombies active at one time, but the server has a built in limit (that is adjustable) of 80 by default So with a default horde night setting of 8 zombies per person, no more than 10 people would have zombies- This also is a problem just when a lot of people are wandering around, if one player has 20 zombies loaded around them, maybe some guy across the map has less than he should or even none. If you have a super tanky top of the line Server PC, you could probably swing as many as 64 by disabling horde nights. We have found that if you build your fort of pillars rather than one solid structure you get nice kill zones through the iron bars and they can never bring the whole structure down.Ībsolutely love this game and only wish is that there were some small chance to find an advanced item early in game.More than 8 is not technically officially supported, But there is an ingame option to host for as many as 16 players via ingame hosting. We always make stand alone or sometimes connected fighting forts fir horde night. We don’t understand why everyone says tower defense is dead. We put an emphasis on aesthetics and in games we play together the provider player is responsible for creating the six shrine that will hold two of each six item.

We have found A19 to be difficult and our longest game was 11 horde nights endured at the second fire station. Winter and wasteland obviously the toughest. This has forced us to use them all and it has been fun. Winner dictates which biome we live in and we have to use all of them once before restarting the cycle. We have also decided to start a new biome component.
7 DAYS TO DIE MULTIPLAYER SERIES
We play perma death and whoever dies has the book series he will get dictated to him by the other player and when we play together he has to give first five books he finds to other guy on games we play apart. We play coop and alternate between playing together with one base, one of us building and one of us providing, and each having our own bases and forts and alternating hosting horde nights.

This has been me and my buddies game exclusively and we play six times a week for about 15-18 hours. Have been playing since A16 and reading forum regularly but have never posted.
